Queensland's regions

The North West region is one of the largest regions by area in Queensland and home to unique and progressive town surrounded by the splendour of the outback. Mount Isa, Cloncurry and Camooweal are some of the larger towns in the area whose economy is driven by mining and agriculture.

The region's weather varies between the plainlands, where it is warm and dry from May to October and warm and wet from November to April, to the ranges area around Mount Isa where it is mostly warm and dry all year around.
