Five hundred kilometres north of Brisbane, the Gladstone region boasts a pleasant lifestyle and is surrounded by islands, beaches and national parks. The City of Gladstone is less than an hour's travel by plane, or approximately six hours by road or rail from the State's capital, Brisbane.

Located just south of the Tropic of Capricorn, Gladstone has a warm to temperate climate and receives between 600 mm and 900 mm of rainfall a year over only 75 rainy days.
